The Jacksonville Jaguars lost another game they could (and probably should) have won against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday... if not for defensive breakdowns in the second half, awful in-game coaching decisions, and an offense that implodes when Chris Ivory gets hurt.
The offensive line did a better job than you might think in pass protection, only allowing two sacks.
It was a #bad game by Brandon Linder, at fault for one sack and contributing to several other pressures. So let’s break down how Marcel Dareus in twice for sacks.
Sack #1: 2nd-and-12 at JAX 20, 0:38 left in 1Q
This is the first sack the offensive line has given up in the first quarter since the season opener against the Green Bay Packers. Third-string left guard Chris Reed gets blown back immediately and makes Blake panic a bit. Marcel Dareus (who’s up against Brandon Linder) gets the sack.
Reed is the culprit here even though technically it's Linder's man who gets the sack. He gets beat bad on the first step and the other dominoes fall because of him.
Verdict: Chris Reed
Sack #2: 1st-and-10 at JAX 28, 2:38 left in 2Q
Jesus.
Verdict: Brandon Linder
