The Jacksonville Jaguars faced one of the strongest defensive lines they'll have to face this year in the Minnesota Vikings and they were not up to the task, giving up four sacks, a handful more pressures, and preventing Blake Bortles from finding any kind of rhythm at all this game.
Who was responsible for each sack on Sunday? Let's get to it.
Sack #1: 3rd and 10 at JAX 21, 11:16 left in 1Q
A.J. Cann has had a rough year in pass protection and this play is no different. His man beats him around the inside edge and forces Blake to leave the pocket early.
Verdict: A.J. Cann
Sack #2: 1st and 10 at JAX 43, 5:05 left in 1Q
Oh my God.
Verdict: Kelvin Beachum
Sack #3: 1st and 10 at JAX 30, 6:24 left in 3Q
Tyler Shatley can be forgiven for messing one up in pass protection with a cleverly designed stunt at the beginning of the second half. No. 97 Everson Griffin pretends to play the pass but then streaks across the line and goes straight for the backup center who lets himself get pulled into blocking No. 98 Linval Joseph.
Verdict: Tyler Shatley
2nd and 10 at MIN 33, 0:58 left in 4Q
This one is pretty cut and dry. Parnell gets beat around the edge and he gets beat badly. It's a tough sack on the opening Jaguars drive of the game.
Verdict: Jermey Parnell
