In the wake of the Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan firing head coach Gus Bradley, it seems we’ve gotten some insight into how he feels about how general manager Dave Caldwell is doing.
Khan released a statement shortly after firing Bradley that included this little nugget about Caldwell and it means we won’t be searching for a new general manager this offseason.
Dave Caldwell agreed and will now be charged with exploring all options to hire the best head coach possible to lead what I feel is an extremely talented team and reward a very loyal and patient fan base in Jacksonville.
Caldwell’s contract runs through 2017, so it seems as though he’ll be with the team for at least that long.
We’ll have more as the situation develops with who Caldwell decides will be the interim head coach for the final two games of the season.
