NFL odds Week 16: Titans road favorites over Jaguars

With everything else that has happened since the Jacksonville Jaguars lost to the Houston Texans 21-20 on Sunday, we shouldn’t forget there is an actual game to be played on Saturday at EverBank Field. The Jaguars host the Tennessee Titans as the home team can only hope to play spoiler sitting at 2-12 and try to make winning the division difficult for the Titans. Man that felt really gross to type. Anyway, the Jaguars are currently four point underdogs at home, which isn’t all that shocking.

The line for the game is likely only four points because it’s a home game and the Jaguars just fired their coach. Typically when a team fires their coach there’s a short spurt where they kind of play above water and the Titans are a team that could happen against. Even though they’re still in position to win the AFC South, they’re still a flawed team.

That flawed team blew the doors off the Jaguars early in the season however on Thursday Night Football, in one of the most embarrassing losses for the Jaguars in quite some time.

I don’t really know what to expect from the Jaguars now that Doug Marrone has been appointed as the interim head coach, especially with Blake Bortles remaining the starter. In any case, I don’t really expect the Jaguars to win the game but this is one I wouldn’t be shocked to see them pull out.
