The NFL announced that it will be launching a spring league starting in spring 2017, according to SiriusXM NFL Radio.

First: Merry f***ing Christmas.
Second: It’ll be really interesting to see how this develops and how teams use it. It comes right after free agency and right before the draft and teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars who don’t have the deepest of rosters could be big participants in scouting, evaluating, and taking advantage of more opportunities like an NFL spring league.
