Tuesday Talk: Season awards

Who earns your vote for season awards this year?

NFL: Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

What if they had made a change sooner?

That’s what a lot of Jaguars fans are asking right now, after Jacksonville demolished the Tennessee Titans on Saturday. It was the Jags first game since firing Gus Bradley, and they turned in their best performance of the year. It has left many people wondering if this season could have been salvaged had the Jaguars made the change sooner. Alas, they did not, and a season to forget followed. However, Saturday was a stark contrast to that, and a welcome Christmas present to the Jaguars faithful.

Since we had such a positive outing against the Titans, it seems only right that the Tuesday Talk has more of a positive tone this week as well. For those who aren’t aware, here’s a quick recap of what the Tuesday Talk is all about. Since Tuesday is kind of the ‘dead’ day between reviewing the last game and looking ahead to the next one, it seems like the perfect time to have a discussion about the Jaguars that goes beyond weekly game chat. This will divert from the typical article; I will post the topic or question for the week, and then hopefully you guys will discuss your thoughts in the comments section. As always, we ask that you remain civil and respectful towards each other. Also, if you feel that the topic or discussion is pointless, that’s fine. There’s no need to comment with that, you can just happily choose to ignore the discussion that week.

With that said, here’s this week’s topic: Who are your choices for the Jaguars season awards? In other words, who would you select for the Jaguars MVP, offensive player, defensive player, offensive and defensive rookies, special teams player, most improved, and anything else you can think of. I think we all know who head coach of the year would be (wink), but feel free to choose a coach beyond that if you feel so inclined. Also, I’d love to hear what everyone’s favorite plays were this year.
