2016 NFL free agency: Dolphins players who could be targeted by Jaguars

The Dolphins have a number of players the Jaguars could be looking at when free agency rolls around.

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars need depth at every position on defense and running back. The Miami Dolphins have Lamar Miller and Olivier Vernon entering free agency. At first glance, it looks like some possible targets are there. Could there be any more?

Here's a list of all the Miami Dolphins free agents, according to

Player Position Status Salary
Matt Moore QB UFA $2,600,000
Derrick Shelby DE UFA $2,356,000
Louis Delmas S UFA $2,250,000
Kelvin Sheppard ILB UFA $1,350,000
Jason Fox LT SFA $1,250,000
Spencer Paysinger OLB UFA $745,000
Jacques McClendon LG UFA $745,000
Shelley Smith LG UFA $745,000
Olivier Vernon DE UFA $712,000
Lamar Miller RB UFA $646,500
Brandon Williams TE RFA $585,000
Michael Thomas S ERFA $585,000
Rishard Matthews WR UFA $538,403
Jake Stoneburner TE ERFA $510,000
Tyler Patman CB ERFA $510,000
Matt Hazel WR ERFA $465,000
Shamiel Gary S ERFA $435,000
Ulrick John RT ERFA $435,000
Robert Thomas DT ERFA $435,000

As we've said numerous times, Lamar Miller and Olivier Vernon are some of the most likely free agent targets for the Jaguars, not just on the Dolphins but around the league. Other than those two names, however, there's very little in terms of possibilities. Michael Thomas was decent last year, but if you're going to sign a safety sign the one, not just a guy who can give you mediocre production.
