2016 NFL free agency: Texans players who could be targeted by Jaguars

Yes, we hate them. But they have at least one player the Jaguars could look at going into free agency.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Texans don't have a lot of good players going into free agency, but one prospect is right what the Jacksonville Jaguars need some help with on the offensive side of the ball -- interior offensive lineman.

Here are all the impending Houston Texans free agents, according to OverTheCap.com.

Player Position Status Salary
Shane Lechler P UFA $1,833,333
Chris Clark RT UFA $1,738,500
Nate Washington WR UFA $1,000,000
Nick Novak K UFA $870,000
Quintin Demps S UFA $870,000
Chris Polk RB UFA $760,000
T.J. Yates QB UFA $745,000
Brandon Brooks OL UFA $700,000
Ben Jones OL UFA $645,362
Jared Crick DE UFA $622,875
Brandon Weeden QB UFA $615,000
Eddie Pleasant S RFA $585,000
Jonathan Grimes RB RFA $570,000
John Simon DE RFA $540,000
Charles James CB ERFA $510,000
A.J. Bouye CB RFA $496,667
Justin Tuggle LB RFA $495,833
Darryl Morris CB RFA $495,000
Jeff Adams OL ERFA $465,000

Brandon Brooks was a full-time starter at guard last year and will be a priority re-signing for the Texans, but if the Jaguars go the route of trying A.J. Cann at center they'll need someone to fill that left guard spot not named Zane Beadles. Brooks is rated as a better pass protector than run blocker, but he's not thought of as bad at either. In fact, according to Pro Football Talk, he gave up just two sacks last year, the least number of sacks of any Texans offensive lineman. Shane Lechler was worse than Bryan Anger in nearly every statistical category, so... no.
