2016 NFL free agency: Browns players who could be targeted by Jaguars

New, comments

Who are the free agents for the Browns next month and who could the Jaguars take a look at?

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns have just 17 players headed into free agency, but most of the players are players on offense and not really players of need for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Here are all the impending Cleveland Browns free agents, according to OverTheCap.com.

Player Position Status Salary
Craig Robertson OLB UFA $2,356,000
Tashaun Gipson S UFA $2,356,000
Jason Bademosi S UFA $1,542,000
Mitchell Schwartz RT UFA $1,292,710
Austin Pasztor RT RFA $660,000
Terrelle Pryor WR RFA $660,000
Travis Benjamin WR UFA $644,250
Scott Solomon DE RFA $615,000
Pat Devlin QB ERFA $585,000
Don Jones S RFA $585,000
Tank Carder ILB UFA $573,200
Darius Jennings WR ERFA $435,000
Raheem Mostert RB ERFA $435,000
Darrian Miller LG ERFA $435,000
Travis Coons K ERFA $435,000
Kaleb Johnson RG ERFA $435,000
Jamie Meder DE ERFA $427,500

As I said, most of the players are on offense. Neither of the guards played a single down last year. Tashaun Gipson was a full-time starter last year, but was mediocre at best. Jamie Meder did well in a very limited role, but there are much better pass rushing options on the open market. And no, Travis Coons is not an upgrade on Jason Myers. Not even close.
