But Scobee said on 1010XL on Tuesday evening that the Jaguars were one of the teams that contacted him after he was released by Pittsburgh.
Scobee on @1010XL: the Jags were 1 of 3 teams who called him after he left Pittsburgh when their kickers had bad weeks. Interesting.— 1010XLT-Wigg (@1010xl_T_Wigg) February 23, 2016
That all lines up with a Jason La Canfora report from right after Scobee was released.
State of NFL kicking may be worse than even OL play. 3 teams already reached out to Josh Scobee who will need few weeks to heal quad strain— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) October 4, 2015
The La Canfora tweet is hours after a Week 4 loss to the Indianapolis Colts when Myers missed two kicks -- one at the end of regulation and one in overtime -- that would have won the game for the Jaguars.
According to Scobee, the Jaguars contacted him at times throughout the year, but there was never going to be a chance to go back to Jacksonville because of his injury. He added he's now moving on with other teams.
