2016 NFL mock draft: Did the NFL Scouting Combine change anything?

The NFL Combine is wrapping up on Monday. Did it change what the Jaguars could do with the No. 5 overall pick?

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine is coming to a close on Monday with some of the more impressive performances of the year coming from defensive backs such as Vernon Hargreaves, Mackensie Alexander, and Jalen Ramsey. How did the players' performances change what the Jacksonville Jaguars could do with the No. 5 overall pick?

Dan Kadar of MockingTheDraft.com put together his latest mock draft and while Joey Bosa "fell" from the top-five to the Baltimore Ravens at No. 6 overall, Florida State defender Jalen Ramsey is (still) going the Jaguars at No. 5.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Jalen Ramsey, CB/S, Florida State

As long as the top two picks in the draft go as expected, the Jaguars should be able to grab one of the two best defensive players in the draft. Some teams view Ramsey as a cornerback while some see him as a safety. Whichever the preference, he's a high-level player who should be able to make plays early in his career.

Again, Ramsey is the top choice for many Jaguars fans because he's an incredible athlete and the best defender available. (Yes, I think he makes more of a difference for a defense than Joey Bosa, Noah Spence, or anyone else.) He fills the biggest need on a Jaguars secondary that was #bad and has been #bad for a while, and an elite defender in the secondary will help a rebuilding Jaguars pass rush more effectively than the other way around.
