Blake Bortles reads negative draft reviews from NFL scouts

Second-year quarterback Blake Bortles was on the Dan Patrick Show on Thursday morning to read the critiques NFL draft scouts said about him prior to the 2014 NFL Draft.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles was on the Dan Patrick Show on Thursday talking about his first two years in the NFL and his being the first quarterback taken in the 2014 NFL Draft... but if it were up to some NFL scouts, he wouldn't have been taken with the No. 3 overall pick.

Patrick and the team handed him a list of negative reviews that NFL scouts had about him prior to the draft and Bortles couldn't even get through the entire list.

My favorite part is when Bortles gets to one scout saying he struggled against better competition and to "see Ohio State 2012" for justification.

"One game, we get it," Bortles exclaims. It's a sobering reminder that even the professionals sometimes have trash opinions and that we can't, as we oftentimes do, judge draft prospects on one or two bad games because that prospect might go on to throw for 4,428 yards and 35 touchdowns in just his second season in the NFL.
