The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly interested in Kansas City Chiefs guard Jeff Allen and could pursue him next week in free agency, according to Mike Kaye of First Coast News.

Allen made just over $1.1 million last year according to OverTheCap.com and his natural position is left guard, so an interest in him would mean moving on from Zane Beadles who was arguably the worst of the five starting offensive linemen last year.

At just 26 years old, Allen makes sense. And he was arguably the best offensive lineman on the Chiefs last year after struggling his first two seasons and going on injured reserve after a Week 1 elbow injury at the beginning of the 2014 season.

Signing Allen would also mean a vote of confidence in A.J. Cann's ability to play center if they were to move away from Stefen Wisniewski and if Luke Bowanko continued to underperform.
