The Jacksonville Jaguars missed out on Olivier Vernon to the New York Giants, leaving the pass rushing market looking a little thin. Reports surfaced the Jaguars would be turning their attention to former Giants pass rusher Robert Ayers, but he was already headed to visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and then the Miami Dolphins, but according to a new report, Ayers is now heading to visit Jacksonville, not Miami.
There was concern that the Jaguars could also miss out on Ayers because he was already headed to visit the Buccaneers and scheduled a trip to Miami, but somehow the Jaguars were able to bring him in before hand. The team is in need to add another pass rusher into the fold after missing out on guys like Mario Williams, Vernon and Bruce Irvin, so Ayers is the next tier of guy they should be looking at.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Ayers left his visit with the Jaguars with a contract in hand.
