The Jacksonville Jaguars entered free agency last week with the distinction of having the most room under the NFL’s record salary cap, a whopping cushion in excess of $70 million. While it was enough lure Malik Jackson from the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos with a six-year, $90 million deal, among other splashes, they may not have had enough room to buy patience.
