Spence was originally a third-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Injuries forced him out for each of his first two seasons in the league, but he's played 35 games in 2014 and 2015 combined. The 5'11" and 230-pound linebacker has 90 tackles, two sacks, and one fumble recovery in his career.
When Spence was drafted from the University of Miami, he was largely expected to be the replacement for Larry Foote at the inside linebacker position next to Lawrence Timmons. In his first NFL preseason he suffered a gruesome knee injury which tore multiple ligaments in his knee and nerve damage in his leg.
