2016 NFL free agency: Packers players who could be targeted by Jaguars

New, comments

Are there any Packers free agents that the Jaguars could be interested in?

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers have 17 free agents this offseason, but there are few who are a position of need for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Could any of them garner any interest during free agency?

Here's a list of all the Packers free agents this year, according to OverTheCap.com.

Player Position Status Salary
Mike Neal OLB UFA $4,000,000
B.J. Raji DT UFA $2,750,000
Sean Richardson S UFA $2,550,000
Mason Crosby K UFA $2,450,000
Nick Perry OLB UFA $1,874,813
James Starks RB UFA $1,625,000
Don Barclay RT UFA $1,542,000
Andrew Quarless TE UFA $1,500,000
Scott Tolzien QB UFA $1,350,000
Brett Goode LS UFA $905,000
John Kuhn FB UFA $895,000
James Jones WR UFA $870,000
Casey Hayward CB UFA $827,478
Chris Banjo S ERFA $585,000
Justin Perillo TE ERFA $510,000
Lane Taylor OG RFA $497,333
Andy Mulumba OLB RFA $496,667

Mike Neal wasn't very good, but Nick Perry was in limited snaps last season. The only problem is, he wouldn't fit into Gus Bradley's scheme as a 6'3" linebacker who weighs 265 pounds. That's a little heavier than Chris Clemons was, but he's not really a LEO in the traditional sense of the word. Casey Hayward will have just turned 27 when the season starts. He's really the only legitimate free agent who could garner interest, but that's it.
