Jacksonville Jaguars free agent center Stefen Wisniewski is reportedly getting interest from around the league. According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Browns are reportedly interested at signing Wisniewski with the prospect of Alex Mack leaving becoming more and more a possibility.
While he brought stability to an offensive line that badly needed a veteran presence, Wisniewski was admittedly average last season and had a few critical bad snaps that you could argue cost the Jaguars wins. While he was solid in the pass protection department, he didn’t really add anything in run blocking like the Jaguars had hoped. The team struggled to run the football with any consistency, or most of the team even effectively.
You could argue that Wisniewski was playing next to rookie guard A.J. Cann thrown into the fire and Zane Beadles, but he had his own issues in the run game as well.
Hey, Cleveland, we'll give you Wisniewski for Mack straight up. Who says no?
