The Jacksonville Jaguars are releasing veteran running back Toby Gerhart to make room for new signing Chris Ivory, according to Ian Rapaport of NFL Network.
The #Jaguars are releasing RB Toby Gerhart tomorrow, source said. Makes sense with the Chris Ivory signing

Ivory reportedly reached an agreement with the Jaguars late Tuesday night and it wouldn't make any sense to keep Gerhart on the roster when the team signed a faster, stronger version of him who will probably be able to score at least once out of four tries from the 1-yard line.
If you need any further proof that Ivory is an upgrade on what we currently had (and is a very good fit as a complement to T.J. Yeldon) look no further than the above clips which shows Gerhart's complete lack of strength and vision on four straight runs from the 1-yard line against the Buffalo Bills.
