NFL Draft 2016 rumors: Potential Eagles Browns trade good news for Jaguars

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Rams have already made a blockbuster trade to move up to the No. 1 overall pick, presumably to make their choice of the 2016 NFL Draft's top quarterbacks, which overall is good news for the Jacksonville Jaguars because it now guarantee a quarterback is picked in the first four picks. There is another rumored trade potentially in the works however, which could mean more good news and good players pushed down the board for the Jaguars, who currently hold the No. 5 overall pick.

Rumors cropped up on Tuesday that the Philadelphia Eagles had been in discussions with both the San Diego Chargers and the Cleveland Browns about moving up to the second or third overall pick in the Draft. The thought behind these rumors is that the Eagles would be coming up for their quarterback of the future, depending on who the Rams end up taking No. 1 overall.

If this trade happens to go down, and at this point it seems likely, it would be great news for the Jaguars in regards to landing a top defensive prospect in the first round. If the trade happens, it means that the first two picks off the board are quarterbacks, which likely means that Laremy Tunsil ends up going No. 3 to the Chargers or someone moves up to get arguably the top-rated player in the draft. Even if the Chargers end up taking Jalen Ramsey with their pick, that means one of Joey Bosa or Myles Jack would be on the board for the Jaguars at No. 5.

The way things are starting to take shape, it looks like the first three picks off the board could end up being quarterback - quarterback - Laremy Tunsil, and that's great news for the Jaguars.
