2016 Jaguars win totals: Bovada says 7.5 wins is over/under

Bovada's most recent over/under is on the low end of expectations, but it's realistic nonetheless.

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to improve next year, according to Bovada. If you believe their recent over/under odds of 7.5, they'll be a 7 or 8 win team.

But if you're like me and think is a 7 to 9 win team after the 2016 NFL Draft, that's on the low end of expectations. Could Bovada be putting a 7.5 over/under out there to get some bets on the over side? After all, if they put 6.5 out there, all the bets are on the over. If they put 8.5 out there, all the bets are on the under.

Vegas knows, after all.

We predicted seven wins before the draft and that included losses at Houston and Buffalo and at home against Oakland. With the haul they got this year of Jalen Ramsey, Myles Jack, Sheldon Day, a handful of pass rushers, there's no reason to think they can't squeak out one of those as a win and get to 8-8.

For the rest of the division, the Indianapolis Colts have a 9.5 wins as the over/under, the Houston Texans are at 8.5, and the Tennessee Titans are at 5.5.

Yes, we're telling you the over is a slightly better bet than the under. Put this on #JaguarsReddit.
