Jaguars to host Buccaneers for joint practices in August

It looks like the Jaguars will be hosting in-state rivals Buccaneers for two days of joint practices in August.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for two days of joint practices at EverBank Field in August, according to Greg Aumun of the Tampa Bay Times. Aumun also said at least a portion of the practices will be open to the public.

This doesn't rule out the reported joint practices in Orlando between the two teams reported back in March. But it does make it a little less likely as it would be strange for the Buccaneers to be away from Tampa Bay during an important training camp.

Over the past few years, the Jaguars have hosted regional teams such as the Atlanta Falcons, with the teams playing in Georgia in 2010 and in Jacksonville in 2011. But this will be the first time Jacksonville will be involved in a joint summer practice on a neutral field.

If the teams decide to practice at the University of Central Florida, they could use Bright House Network Stadium which is also used by the Knights football team. It has a capacity of 45,301 people.
