Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Dan Skuta was arrested last week for battery, after allegedly pushing a woman in the face after a verbal altercation. Skuta's lawyer has since released a statement alleging that entire incident was made up and that Skuta was actually the person assaulted in the situation.

The woman in the incident, as far as we know, was never charged with a crime or arrested. Skuta on the other hand was arrested and the woman indicated she would be pressing charges for battery.
As expected, this situation appears to be devolving into a "he said, she said" situation.
Skuta's lawyer, however, does assert that Skuta never placed a hand on the woman and was simply arrested on a completely fabricated situation.
As this story develops, we will have more information available.
