The Jacksonville Jaguars have named Greg Jones as a scouting associate within the front office. Jones formerly served as a coaching intern.

Jones will be supporting all of the team’s college area scouts, while working from EverBank Field.

As a player, Jones played nine seasons with the Jaguars as a fullback and running back. He appeared in 115 career games for Jacksonville. He rushed for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns in his eight-year career in Jacksonville. His best season came in 2005 when he rushed for 575 yards, caught 10 passes, and had four touchdowns total. He was released by the team in 2013 and signed later by the Houston Texans.

Jones was originally drafted out of Florida State by the Jaguars in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft.
