The Jacksonville Jaguars are 16 days away from their preseason opener against the New York Jets and that means we're counting down the top plays of last season.
Yesterday was T.J. Yeldon making a catch out of the backfield and shedding three would-be tacklers for his longest reception of the season against the Tennessee Titans.
Today's top play?
No. 16: Jared Odrick seals win over Dolphins
If Jared Odrick is getting sacks, it's more likely a result of him outmatching his opponent rather than being schemed into a pressure. At the "big end" position, he just doesn't play in a place where pressures and sacks are the goal most of the time. But in Week 2 against his former team, Odrick made a sensational play, sacking former teammate Ryan Tannehill and causing a fumble.
Odrick said all week it wasn't personal and that it was just another game. After the victory?
"I have to tell you guys that I was lying the whole week," Odrick said after the game. "Yeah, it did feel kind of personal. I grinded all week and I was very excited. It feels good to say that we got a win. I’ve just got to thank my teammates for being able to put me in this position."
Does Odrick's sack deserve to be in the top-25 list? Let us know in the comments below!
