Kaye's Take: Josh Wells injury puts Jacksonville Jaguars in tough spot -
Jaguars offensive tackle Josh Wells will undergo surgery on his right thumb this week. While he isn't a starter or even a proven backup, Wells' injury and lack of availability puts the Jaguars in a tight spot. Wells had been serving as a step-in left tackle as Kelvin Beachum continues to recover from ACL surgery and Luke Joeckel tests the waters at left guard. The third-year player is (was?) likely to serve as the team's swing tackle, the backup to both the winner of the left tackle battle and right tackle Jermey Parnell.
