The Jacksonville Jaguars returned to practice on Tuesday, their first practice since Saturday's preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The team has been pretty lucky so far with injuries, but there are still some players being held out of practice this week and could be questionable for Sunday's nationally televised preseason match up with the Cincinnati Bengals.
#Jaguars (no pads) practice: Amukamara, Sample, Linkenbach, Wells, Day, Jones, Miller not working.— Ryan O'Halloran (@ryanohalloran) August 23, 2016
Don't be alarmed by Prince Amukamara not being at practice, as he's not injured and it's a person day. His wife just gave birth to their second child, so he has the day off. Roy Miller is also being held out as he has a quad issue, but it's not anything to be concerned with and backup Abry Jones also has a quad contusion.
As far as the others, Jeff Linkenbach picked up a concussion in the game on Saturday and Josh Wells is still recovering from thumb surgery. It's possible he's ready by the regular season, but that's still up in the air. Sheldon Day has been dealing with a back issue for a few weeks now and while previously wasn't a big concern, it's starting to hit that tipping point of being concerning because of all the time he's been missing.
All-in-all, nothing to be really too concerned with.
