The Jacksonville Jaguars won't start their preseason campaign until Thursday night against the New York Jets, but the annual Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio will feature the Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers on Friday night!
Packers quarterback Brett Favre is the headliner of this year’s Hall of Fame class, while the Colts have head coach Tony Dungy and wide receiver Harvin Marrison being inducted as well. It was a logical and easy choice for the game to be between the two franchises, and that’s what ended up happening.
But... it is a Hall of Fame game. If the starters play at all it will only be for a series or two, and then the backups will take it from there. The Colts aren’t game planning for the contest, and the two teams will likely want to show even less than they normally would because they play again during the regular season. But hey, it’s football, and let’s face it: as a Colts fan, you’ll probably watch it.
