Several young Jaguars players on the roster bubble made a case to stay on the 53-man squad with their play against the Falcons.

The Jaguars completed their fourth preseason under head coach Gus Bradley with a meaningless 17-15 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in the final NFL exhibition game played at the Georgia Dome on Thursday night. Jaguars rookie quarterback Brandon Allen led the depth group throughout the entire game, as Blake Bortles, Malik Jackson and the rest of the starters got the night off. The young passer finished the night 17-of-26 for 164 passing yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

While the fourth preseason game may seem meaningless to many football fans, it is a fight for many of the players on the back of the roster to make a team. Nearly 2/3rd's of the players cut after this game won't play in an NFL game again, so while this game may not have a huge impact on the Jaguars season, it had a huge impact on the careers and dreams of many of the final 75 players left.
