Jaguars roster cuts tracker: Jacksonville trims roster to 53

New, comments
Logan Bowles-USA TODAY Sports

With the preseason wrapped up, the Jacksonville Jaguars have until Saturday at 4:00 p.m. EST to cut their roster from 75 players down to 53. The overall cut down shouldn't be that difficult this season, but it will be the first time in a long time we can expect a few surprise cuts and guys who have been staples under the new regime, like Tyson Alualu and Ryan Davis, may not even make the final roster.

If you see a cut, post it in the comments, but please try to make sure it's from a legitimate source. When we have the full list of cuts we'll make a new post to discuss the real final 53-man roster.

Live Blog:

3:55 PM: Mackenzy Bernadeau, Arrelious Benn, and Nick Marshall all released.

2:33 PM: WHY NOT, JAGUARS?

10:06 AM: Braedon Bowman being cut is kind of surprising, but he didn't get many reps in preseason. Will likely clear waivers and be a practice squad guy.

8:54 PM: Josh Evans gone!

5:19 PM: Jordan Tripp reportedly cut. Man, what is going on? We going thin at linebacker?

4:23 PM: Ryan Davis confirms he was released. Best served as a linebacker in a 3-4 defense, IMO.

4:22 PM: Jesus.

4:19 PM: Tyrone Holmes cut. I'm sick of this team, man.

4:11 PM: Thurston Armbrister is reportedly gone.

3:29 PM: Not a surprise. T.J. Barnes a long shot to make the roster anyway.

3:23 PM: I don't think they do it, but I don't think they don't do it.

3:01 PM: First report of a cut comes out with Rashod Hill. He's someone I considered putting on the final 53-man roster, but I wouldn't be shocked if he ended up on the Jaguars practice squad if he goes unclaimed.
