Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said after practice on Friday that newly signed running back Chris Ivory should play on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
“He should, yeah. Again, I’ll talk to him today, but I think he made another step today. Definitely arrow’s up for him. Like I said before, the issue is more his conditioning and how he feels and what can we get from him. I know that’s improving.”
When asked if Ivory would have to ease into the lineup and would see increased carries as the weeks go on, Bradley agreed that might be the case.
“I think tomorrow, after we go through tomorrow, because tomorrow we do sprint them a little bit more so we’ll get a better feel for where he’s at and just what we can count on.”
Ivory has yet to make his regular season debut for the Jaguars, but his preseason was strong and he looked to be a very good complement to T.J. Yeldon, who has struggled getting less than 3.0 yards per carry.
