The Jacksonville Jaguars have released wide receiver Bryan Walters to make room for backup offensive lineman Rashod Hill on the 53-man active roster. Good night, sweet prince.
The #Jaguars have promoted OL Rashod Hill to the 53-man active roster & released fifth-year WR Bryan Walters.

Walters had 32 receptions for 368 yards and one touchdown in 11 games last year. He was a healthy scratch for both games so far this year.
With the injuries to the offensive line, it was obvious that the Jaguars would be adding another offensive lineman for the active roster just in case Brandon Linder, who suffered a knee sprain mid-week in practice, isn’t able to play. Walters was the most sensical cut because it’s likely that he will still be available next week for the Jaguars to sign him again, as it’s unlikely he’s claimed by another team.
With how the season has gone however and all the receivers staying healthy, it might behoove the Jaguars to carry that extra offensive lineman until everyone is healthy.
