Kelvin Beachum cleared from NFL concussion protocol

NFL: Green Bay Packers at Jacksonville Jaguars Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars were without starting left tackle Kelvin Beachum on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, as he was still in the NFL’s concussion protocol, but he will return to practice on Wednesday and should be available for the Jaguars game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday in London, according to a report by the associated press.

Beachum suffered a scary concussion against the San Diego Chargers two weeks ago, when his head was kicked as he was falling and a player attempted to jump over him. Beachum’s neck was stabilized and he was carted off the field, missing the next week of practice and the game.

While the Jaguars got by, at least in pass protection, on Sunday against the Ravens it was clear they were playing with new players at three positions. If both Beachum and Linder can return to the starting lineup against the Indianapolis Colts, a healthy Jaguars offensive line might be able to get things going against a banged up and questionable Colts front seven.
