The NFL regular season is finally here and for the Jacksonville Jaguars it kicks off on Sunday afternoon at EverBank Field against the Green Bay Packers at 1 p.m. EST. It's a sold out game and a highly anticipated one, after all the hype about the Jaguars during the offseason, training camp and the preseason. While there were some hiccups in the preseason, the vast majority of it was positive and it has a lot of people thinking an upset might be in the works for Week 1.
Except for Vegas, that is.
Currently the Jaguars a 4.5 point underdogs as they host the Packers Week 1, making them the biggest home dog for the opening week of the NFL. The lined opened at +3.5 for the Jaguars, which means the smart money has been going the way of the Green Bay Packers, which isn't all the surprising.
In all honesty, the line for the Packers game is much smaller than I expected it to be and it's a little bit of a sign that things might be trending up in the right direction, because the Jaguars aren't opening as a touchdown dog to a perennial playoff team anymore.
