The Jacksonville Jaguars ended the 2016 NFL season with a 3-13 record and because of strength of schedule tiebreakers, the team will have the No. 4 overall pick.
With the Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, and Chicago Browns all possibly looking at pass rushers, it could be slim pickings for the Jaguars when it gets to the fourth overall pick. Those three teams could all grab a quarterback, but the best pass rusher in Myles Garrett will likely be gone.
That means that a versatile defensive lineman like Jonathan Allen out of Alabama or a more specialized pass rusher like Derek Barnett out of Tennessee could be the move.
But running back Dalvin Cook out of Florida State declared for the draft after winning the Orange Bowl on Friday night and with him arguably being the best running back in this class, picking him could be an option — especially with Dave Caldwell likely wanting to give his guy in Dante Fowler at least one more year to prove himself to be a capable guy opposite rookie Yannick Ngakoue.
