The Jacksonville Jaguars formally announced a restructuring of their front office with the introduction of Tom Coughlin as their Executive VP of Football Operations, who will officially have final say on the 53-man roster.
"Blake Bortles is our quarterback."

-- #Jaguars EVP Tom Coughlin
When asked about incumbent starter Blake Bortles and if there would be any talk about bringing in veteran competition, Coughlin responded with, “Blake Bortles is our quarterback.”
While on the surface it sounds like a ringing endorsement, it’s not. There was no follow-up, no pointing out of where Bortles can win, nothing. And anyone who knows Coughlin knows that he will not be content with an unchallenged quarterback and with Chad Henne as the backup for Bortles since his rookie year he’s been largely unchallenged his entire career. A veteran quarterback will be brought in and a mid-round guy might even be drafted. There will be no shortage of competition for Bortles this offseason.
