The Jacksonville Jaguars announced they will host the Baltimore Ravens at London’s historic Wembley Stadium on Sunday, September 24, 2017, in Week 3 of the 2017 NFL regular season.
The league also announced that the Miami Dolphins will host the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, October 1, in Week 4 of the 2017 NFL regular season. Kickoff times and bye week scheduling have yet to be confirmed and will be announced at a later date.
The London series was something that was originally scheduled to be over by now. The original agreement was for the Jaguars to play one home game a year across the pond, stretching from 2013-2016. However, that agreement was extended to go through at least 2020.
I don’t want to speak for everyone, but I would imagine that this is a matchup that not too many people are going to be upset about losing. It seems like these two teams play each other almost every year, and there really isn’t ever too much buzz about it. I think most people will be interested to know how this will affect the team’s overall schedule, like when they will be taking their bye. One possible scenario that had been discussed has now been eliminated, though: the Jaguars will not be playing back-to-back London games this year.
