The Jacksonville Jaguars had a scare in Sunday’s loss when rookie running back Leonard Fournette appeared to go down with a non-contact injury late in the game. Dread struck through every Jaguars fan who watched him crumple to the ground and be helped off, and many thought any thoughts of even a .500 season would be over with the loss of their star running back.
Fournette was cleared to return to the game according to the team, but they held him out of the rest of the game. Thankfully, it appears to have been nothing but a scare.
Despite suffering a foot injury Sunday, Jaguars still expect RB Leonard Fournette to play this week vs. the Colts, per source.

Losing Fournette would be the worst possible thing for a Jaguars offense that is struggling to put drives together. Even as good as Fournette has been, watching the games, his stats have left a lot to be desired. On Sunday outside of the 75-yard touchdown run on his first carry, the Rams held him in check pretty well by selling out to slow him down.
I would expect Fournette to be held out of some of the practices this week, but thankfully it appears he’s going to be ready for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
