Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette has said his sprained right ankle is fine and the injury he suffered in the fourth quarter of the Jaguars' 27-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday is "nothing serious."

That might very well be the case, but even a minor injury to the rookie first-round pick could be devastating to the Jaguars' chances of keeping pace in the AFC South -- and their chances of winning the division would be drastically smaller without him.

Jacksonville Jaguars cut Jason Myers after disappointing start to season - BigCatCountry.com
The Jacksonville Jaguars have cut third-year kicker Jason Myers after a horrible start to the 2017 season.

Myers has always justified his spot on the roster because of a strong leg — able to kick off out of the end zone and give the team the option of a long field goal. But this year, his kickoffs have been shorter and he is 0-for-3 from 50 yards or more.

The Jacksonville Jaguars may not have to do anything but wait a few more weeks to get their passing game some help.

Rookie receiver Dede Westbrook is eligible to come off injured reserve after the bye week, and the former Oklahoma standout might be able to give the offense the big-play threat in the pass game that has been missing since Allen Robinson went down with a torn left ACL in the season opener.
