Jacksonville Jaguars baffled after Paul Posluszny commits silly penalty vs. New York Jets - Deadspin.com
With under two minutes left in overtime of yesterday’s Jaguars-Jets rock fight, the Jags were pinned deep and forced to punt. Jets return man Jeremy Kerley brought it back to the Jags’ 40, and though they were in a tough position, Jacksonville’s defense had been good enough that they could have credibly held strong and forced a tie.
But veteran linebacker Paul Posluszny picked up a devastating 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for taunting, which moved the Jets into field goal range and essentially cost Jacksonville the game.
Enough with Leonard Fournette/Chris Ivory rotation stuff - BigCatCountry.com
There were a lot of things to be frustrated about in the Jacksonville Jaguars 23-20 overtime loss to the New York Jets on Sunday. A lot of people are upset about the defense giving up so many rushing yards (I’m not, really...), but a large chunk of fans are upset with the offensive play calling, in particular how the Jaguars seem to use fourth-overall pick Leonard Fournette during the flow of the game.
Jacksonville Jaguars looking for best way to incorporate Leonard Fournette - FOXSports.com
Calling it “not an exact science,” Jaguars coach Doug Marrone wants to do a better job of getting rookie running back Leonard Fournette the ball in “the right situations.”
The Jaguars (2-2) failed to get Fournette a touch during a key sequence in a 23-20 overtime loss at the New York Jets on Sunday.
Trailing 20-17 late in regulation, Jacksonville appeared to take the lead when Fournette turned a screen pass into a 23-yard touchdown. But the score was nullified because of a holding call on receiver Arrelious Benn.
