Jaguars open as 9-point dogs against Steelers

The Jaguars are over a touchdown underdog as they head to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers.

Coming off a disappointing loss on the road to the New York Jets in overtime, the Jacksonville Jaguars head right back out this Sunday to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road. This will, effectively (they played “home” game in another country...), be the team’s third road game in a row. It’s no surprise that the Jaguars are underdogs with Vegas, but the surprise is how much they were.

It’s a “what have you done for me lately” league, but it’s also like that for the betting public as well. The Jaguars opened up as 9-point underdogs against the Steelers and I wouldn’t be shocked if it hit double-digits before Sunday, as the Jaguars offense appeared totally inept against the Jets and will be facing a better front in the Steelers.

The Jets did exactly what the Tennessee Titans did in Week 2, in that you load up for the run and the just blitz the HELL out of Blake Bortles and eventually he’ll begin to make mistakes. So it’s a good thing they’re heading to Pittsburgh, to face a team not know for blitzing...
