The Jacksonville Jaguars are riding four game win streak they’re hoping to push to five games in a row Sunday, as they head on the road to take on the Arizona Cardinals. The Jaguars haven’t won back-to-back road games in quite a while, but the bookies seem to think the Jaguars should handle the Cardinals, as they opened up as four point favorites.
The betting public seems to be on the Jaguars as well, as the line has risen to 5.5 points as of writing this and if the trend continues and the Jaguars get good news on the injury front, I wouldn’t be shocked to see it rise to around six even.
The Jaguars on paper should be able to win the game, as they’ll bring the NFL’s best pass rush to face our old buddy, Blaine Gabbert. As we’re all well aware, under consistent pressure Gabbert completely falls apart. The biggest issue for the Jaguars will be containing Adrian Peterson, who on the wrong side of 30, is still a very good running back. On the flip side, the Jaguars are going to need quarterback Blake Bortles to get back to that efficient play he had a few weeks ago during a stretch, because the Cardinals secondary does have some dangerous playmakers who will force turnovers.
