The Jacksonville Jaguars are looking for their first three game winning streak since the 2013 season as they welcome the Los Angeles Chargers to EverBank Field on Sunday. The Jaguars open up once again as home favorites, as the first line I saw had the Jaguars at -3.5 and some books now have them at -4.
It’s no surprise the Jaguars are favorites against a Chargers team coming across the country. Not only are the coming cross country, but it seems they’re coming to face a Jaguars team who has seemed to hit their groove and are firing on all cylinders, without rookie sensation Leonard Fournette.
The game will be interesting in part because Phillip Rivers has traditionally obliterated the Jaguars, but the Jaguars now have the best pass defense in the NFL, so maybe it was just a case of him picking on a few players within the scheme. The Chargers have been carried by their passing attack as their run game has started slow, ranking in the bottom third of the league.
Personally, I’m expecting another win at EverBank Field
