Jalen Ramsey on A.J. Green: ‘I told him he was soft’

Jalen Ramsey thinks A.J. Green is soft and weak.

That’s according to Ramsey who is speaking about his on-field fight and ejection on Sunday when the Jacksonville Jaguars hosted the Cincinnati Bengals in a hard-hitting Week 9 matchup.

"I told him almost every play that he was weak, that he was soft," Ramsey said. “He just couldn't handle the truth. Those were facts. I told him that his time was almost up. I told him that it was easy, which it was. He had one catch for six yards.”

Was there any truth to the rumor that Ramsey was talking about Green’s wife or family?

“I lock receivers down physically and then mentally I get in their mind and get under their skin,” Ramsey said. “I talk my talk whatever I’m going to say. It’s rumors out there that I said some deep personal stuff but that’s not true. I don't talk about nobody's wife or nobody's kids or nobody's family. I don't do that. So that's untrue, that's not true at all.”

And what about the ejection? Was that warranted?

“You can go back and look at the film,” Ramsey said. “I pushed him every single play. I told him to stop putting his hand on me."

According to Mike Kaye of First Coast News, Ramsey said he didn't fight back because he didn't want to be ejected. He said head coach Doug Marrone told him that the referee told the Jaguars coaching staff that they thought Ramsey threw a punch, which he didn’t.

But once he was ejected, Ramsey “wanted to get his money’s worth” according to Brent Martineau of CBS 47. Ramsey’s thoughts were that he was ejected already, what else could they do?

Never change, Jalen.
