The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off their biggest win in the past number of seasons, beating the Seattle Seahawks 30-26 and guaranteeing the team’s first winning season since 2007. On Sunday the Jaguars host the Houston Texans and opened up as 11 point favorites at home.

This is the second time this season the Jaguars have been double-digit favorites, the first being against the Indianapolis Colts two weeks ago. The Jaguars easily covered that spread, blowing out the Colts. I would think that the Jaguars cover once again as they welcome in a banged up Texans team lead by T.J. Yates at quarterback.

The Jaguars blew out Houston in Week 1 29-7 in a game that was much more dominating than the scoreline. The Jaguars sacked the Texans quarterbacks, Tom Savage and Deshaun Watson at the time, a combined 10 times and scored on defense. Sunday could be even uglier for the Texans as the Jaguars defense is still playing at an extremely high level and the Jaguars offense has just started to hit their stride.

Quarterback Blake Bortles is playing significantly better than he did in the opening game and the run game is starting to pick back up for the Jaguars since their offensive line got healthy again.

In simple terms, I think the Jaguars cover pretty easily.
