Jaguars should clinch playoffs on Sunday

When the clock strikes 0:00 late Sunday afternoon, the Jacksonville Jaguars should have punched their ticket to 2017 NFL playoffs. This isn’t meant as disrespect to the Houston Texans or to take them lightly, but the Jaguars are clearly the much better team and if you’re actually a good team in the NFL, you handle your business at home against the bad ones.

The Texans are on their third starting quarterback of the season, their defense is missing more than a handful of players that they had in the first match up in Week 1 and their offensive line, which surrendered 10 sacks, is worse. Now I don’t expect 10 sacks again, but the Jaguars defense should be able to suffocate the Texans offense on Sunday pretty easily.

Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles has been on a roll the last two weeks and that should continue against Houston, as he seems to be hitting his stride at the perfect time.

The Jaguars are a good team, one of the best in the NFL and the Houston Texans (as is) are a bad one. The Jaguars should send fans off in their last regular season home game securing their first playoff berth since 2007.

Drink it in, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.
