2017 NFL playoff picture: Jaguars are (still) No. 3 seed in AFC

The Jacksonville Jaguars are still the No. 3 seed in the AFC playoff race but their shot at getting a top-two spot (and a first-round bye week) is a little bit better.

Their 10-4 record has them two games up in the AFC South division as well. If they win either of their next two games or if the Tennessee Titans lose either of their next two games, it’s the division crown and a No. 3 seed, baby!

How does the rest of the AFC look?

AFC playoff breakdown

1. New England Patriots (11-3): AFC East winner. They almost lost again. They’re vulnerable and everybody knows it. Screw Rob Gronkowski. Remaining games against the Buffalo Bills and at the New York Jets.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers (11-3): AFC North winner. You had one job. Remaining games at Houston Texans and against the Cleveland Browns.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars (10-4): AFC South leader. If they win one they win the division. Remaining games at San Francisco 49ers and at Tennessee Titans.

4. Kansas City Chiefs (8-6): AFC West leader. The worst division leader in the NFL. Remaining games against Miami Dolphins and at Denver Broncos.

5. Tennessee Titans (8-6): *laughing hysterically* Remaining games against Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars.

6. Buffalo Bills (8-6): They’re not gonna make it, man. Remaining games at New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins.

In the hunt: Baltimore Ravens (8-6) and Los Angeles Chargers (7-7)
