Jurrell Casey thinks it ‘sucks’ Jaguars won the division and Titans can’t

During Sunday’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Jacksonville Jaguars locked up their first ever AFC South title thanks to the Los Angeles Rams beating the Tennessee Titans. The Titans, who sit at 8-7, are playing for their playoff lives on Sunday against the Jaguars in Nashville, though it’s only for a Wild Card spot since the division has already been decided.

That fact leaves a bad taste in some Titans player’s mouths.

“We’re going to sweep the division other than losing to Houston,” Titans defensive lineman Jurrell Casey told Paul Kuharsky. “But we can’t win the division. That’s the part that sucks. They won’t even technically beat us and win the division. It is what it is. They’re supposed to be king of the South and we’re ready to see that.”

Well for one, that’s assumptive of Casey considering the Titans are on a three game losing streak and on the verge of losing themselves out of the playoffs. The

Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone has done a good job of taking bulletin board material and using it for his players this season and Casey has given him a great quote to use. The Jaguars are locked into the three seed and have nothing really to play for outside of just pure momentum, but now they have a chance just to completely stick it to a hated division rival and also potentially knock them out of the playoffs.

The Titans can still make it if they lose the game and finish 8-8, but they’ll need a lot of help.
