Jacksonville Jaguars 2016 rookie class grading: Jalen Ramsey and the rest get a B -
The Jacksonville Jaguars didn’t perform the way they hoped in 2016, but their rookie class had some solid contributors and future building blocks. While the team as a whole under-performed mightily, the Jacksonville Jaguars can take solace in the fact that they have a number of young players who performed well in 2016.

In declining to pick up Kelvin Beachum’s four year, $40 million option yesterday, the Jacksonville Jaguars created a hole in their roster at left tackle that left the fan-base confused as to who will be protecting quarterback Blake Bortles’ blind-side next year and in the future. A day later, however, the Miami Dolphins were apparently ready to release former Pro-Bowl left tackle Branden Albert, until this report broke.

One of the downsides about playing in the NFL is job stability. One season you can be star, and the next you could be fighting on the fringes of the 53-man roster. At the start of the offseason, teams are allowed to have up to 90 players on their roster, but only 53 of those 90 players will get a spot on the official roster come Week 1 of the season. That means 37 players need to be cut before Week 1.
