2017 NFL offseason calendar, key dates for Jaguars

The 2017 NFL offseason has already gotten started, with the conclusion of things like post-season college All-Star games. The NFL's franchise tag period officially began on Feb. 15 which should see players start to get tagged the closer we get to the start of free agency. Going forward, here are some key dates that Jacksonville Jaguars fans will want to pay attention to.

Feb. 28th through Mar. 6 - NFL Scouting Combine, here is a list of players that will be attending.

Mar. 1 - Deadline to designate Franchise Tags.

Mar. 7 through Mar. 9 - Beginning at 12:00 p.m. EST Mar. 7 and ending on 3:59:59 EST Mar. 9, teams may contact and begin contract negotiations with agents of players scheduled to be free agents, but teams may not contact the player directly, sign a contract or schedule a visit officially.

Mar. 9 - NFL free agency officially begins at 4 p.m. EST.

Apr. 3 - NFL teams with a first-year head coach begin offseason workouts.

Apr. 21 - Deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets.

Apr. 28 through Apr. 29 - NFL Draft
